Identical Honour Boards in different locations

Two identical Honour Boards have been located and photographed in different locations.

The Moorabool Presbyterian Church Honor Roll was located in the Bannockburn Presbyterian Church and its identical twin is in the Anakie Presbyterian Church.

An article in the Geelong Advertiser 26 June 1918 goes some way to explaining the existence of the identical Honour Boards, but it also identifies some other Honour Boards that the Geelong Honours Them Project is still yet to locate.

MOORABOOL

Honor Rolls were unveiled throughout the Presbyterian churches in the Moorabool charge on Sunday last by Chaplain-colonel Crookston B.A., who conducted services at Anakie, Sutherland’s Creek, Russell’s Bridge and Batesford. He preached on each occasion from different texts his discourses throughout being impressive, instructional, inspiring and of great spiritual power. The honor rolls were of polished blackwood and contained 50 names, five of whom paid the supreme sacrifice.
